Beatrice Kessi

Since 2013 Beatrice Kessi works based in Berlin as a freelance Aerial Artist & Dancer for Theatre, Opera, Varieté, Congresses, Circus & Cruise Ships. She has been collaborating internationally with choreographers such as Tim Plegge, Mauro Astolfi, Amy Raymond, Jan Fabre, Hildegard Draaijer, Jacqueline Beck, Gloria Pomardi and Beatrice Paoleschi and theatre/film directors as Terry Gilliam, Leah A. Hausman and Tobias Kratzer.
At the age of 18 Beatrice Kessi completes the secondary school for music in Switzerland with focus on classical piano and singing. Her awarded final thesis called “Die Entstehung einer Choreographie – Das Mädchen auf der Suche” was determining her to start a professional dance career at the Zürich Tanz-Theater Schule (ZTTS), where she meets her artist friend Natalia Macauley Gavrilova.
She continues her dance studies at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie CODARTS in the Netherlands from 2004 – 2008, where she graduates successfully with a Bachelor degree as Contemporary Ballet Dancer.
Back in Switzerland she joins the CINEVOX JUNIOR COMPANY in Neuhausen directed by Malou Fenaroli Leclerc in 2009.
In 2010/11 she has the opportunity to dance as an apprentice in Mauro Astolfi´s Dance Company called Spellbound Contemporary Ballet in Rome with the exceptional ballet master Cristina Amodio, which both had an awakening influence on her development as a dancer and artist.
For six month she dances within the Company EMOX Balletto Contemporaneo directed by Beatrice Paoleschi in Florence, before she moves to Berlin in Germany, where she establishes herself as a freelance Contemporary Ballet dancer and aerial artist.
Her specialization in the Circus Arts as Aerial Silk & Hoop started in 2011 at the Scuola Romana di Circo in Rome, as well as at the IVA Internationale Varieté Academie in Berlin.
